Dear Family and Friends
What a Roller-coaster (Big-Dipper) ride this year has been.
You can see last years Xmas photos at Pam & Dave’s and the New Year Kicking off with a Party at Phil & Elly’s
The most memorable high point of the year was going to the USA in August to be with Fedele and family for Antonietta’s 50th birthday but then leaving Paul in the USA to study for a year at Carroll College.
The lowest point was probably when Phil (my best mate) had a heart attack and spent a few agonising days in Aberystwyth Hospital in Wales. It certainly made us realise that we are all mortal!
Antonietta’s forced change in career continues to give her great satisfaction and enjoyment from the challenge of teaching ICT to the exceptional students, at a college in Coventry for disabled students (physically & mentally). Unfortunately she works every hour possible, to prepare interesting classes and with her studies for her Cert Ed she doesn’t get much “free time”. Interestingly the old Software house she left two years ago is still having difficulties and had to release even more developers recently.
Mark, (the oldest), completed FE college and has decided to progress his initial idea of becoming a Chef, while still studying a little Psychology in his spare time. He is at a major milestone in his life having shot passed his 21st birthday this year (Where has time gone, I remember him as a baby as if it was only a couple of years ago)
Paul, (the youngest), had a great year (Read Paul-2005 page). He completed his first year at Aberystwyth “The University of Wales” and was one of 2 to get an exchange placement in the USA for his second year. As usual he is always penniless (Cent’ less), but that’s normal student life!
John still works for the Gas and Electricity Company. He continues to age with all the stresses of work and the family. He has started to change his lifestyle and goes walking regularly to counteract the stresses of work before he ends up in hospital like his mate.
As we look forward to (2006) a New Year of challenges (or as the optimist of you would say the opportunities) we would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.
To all of you “Merry Christmas for 2005 and a Happy 2006”
"Auguri perché quest'anno tu ottenga ciò che vuoi"
Which translates to
"I wish you'll get whatever you want during this New Year"
Love and Best Wishes from
Antonietta, John, Mark and Paul.
